March 4, 2009-- Only in a governmental agency could you have a meeting to clear the way for a meeting. Such is the case with NASA. Managers within the space program gathered to discuss whether there should be a flight readiness review meeting on Friday to clear the shuttle for liftoff, perhaps on March 11.
They approved passing along the decision to the Flight Readiness Review on Friday. That group of top managers will give the final "yay" or "nay" for next Wednesday's scheduled launch.
